☕Ingredients
See recipe card at the bottom of the post for the full list of ingredients and exact amounts.
- Softened cream cheese. Use room temperature cream cheese so it whips up smooth and creamy without lumps.
- Marshmallow creme. You might also know this as marshmallow fluff.
- Instant hot chocolate mix. I used a decadent dark chocolate hot cocoa mix, but use what you love! You'll need ½ cup or about 4 hot chocolate packets.
- Almond extract. A little almond extract is delicious in hot cocoa, and I love it in this dip, too! If you're not a fan, use vanilla extract instead or another flavor like peppermint extract or coconut extract.
- Toppings. Anything goes here. Miniature marshmallows, chocolate shavings, crushed candy canes, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream ...
🥣How to Make Hot Cocoa Dip
Step 1: In a large bowl, whip the softened cream cheese, marshmallow creme, and almond extract.
Step 2: Mix in the hot chocolate mix. Fold in the whipped topping until completely combined.
Step 3: Transfer the hot chocolate dip to a serving bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for one hour to firm up. Top with tiny marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, or chocolate sprinkles.
Step 4: Serve with your favorite dippers like chocolate chip cookies, animal crackers, and vanilla wafers.
