    • 📖 Recipe

Strawberry Marshmallow Fluff is a simple 3-ingredient fruit dip you'll love dunking absolutely everything into.

And when I say 3 ingredients, honestly, one of them is optional. This strawberry marshmallow fluff recipe comes together with strawberry cream cheese spread and marshmallow fluff -- and, if you want, a couple of spoonfuls of strawberry preserves to enhance the strawberry flavor even further.

It's super creamy and light and mixes together quickly into a fluffy dip that is sure to be the hit of the dessert table. Make it a full-on pink dessert party with Strawberry Jello Pie and Strawberry Brownies.

Strawberry cream cheese spread. Strawberry cream cheese adds light strawberry flavor and makes the dip super creamy. Be sure too let it soften to room temperature to keep the dip from getting lumpy.

Marshmallow creme. One 7 oz. jar of marshmallow creme — or fluff — adds sweet fluffiness that makes this strawberry fruit dip so addictive. If prefer to make your own marshmallow fluff, you'll need about 2 ½ cups of it.

Seedless strawberry preserves. A couple of spoonfuls of seedless strawberry jam or preserves is a fun twist and amps up the strawberry flavor. Use any flavor you like to create your own concoction — like raspberry or blackberry.

Step 1: With an electric mixer, beat softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme at high speed in a medium bowl until it reaches a smooth and fluffy consistency.

If desired, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of strawberry or other fruit preserves into the cream cheese marshmallow mixture.

Step 2: Cover the dip in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Serve with fresh strawberries, assorted fruit, fruit kebabs, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla wafers, pretzels -- everything!

    Expert Tips

    • Soften the cream cheese to room temperature so it will blend with the marshmallow creme without lumps.
    • Add a boost of more fruit flavor with a spoonful or two of strawberry jam or your favorite preserves.
    • For best results, refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to let the flavors mingle and the cream cheese firm up again.

    FAQs

Why is my fruit dip lumpy?

The most likely reason your cream cheese fruit dip is lumpy is that the cream cheese was too cold. The easiest way to sidestep lumpy dip is to let the cream cheese soften to room temperature. Soft cream cheese is much easier to blend with the marshmallow creme into a perfectly smooth and creamy mixture.

Is marshmallow fluff the same as marshmallow crème?

Yes. You will see this fluffy marshmallow cream sold under different brand names as marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme.

What is strawberry fruit dip made of?

The simplest recipe for strawberry fruit dip is strawberry cream cheese and marshmallow creme. However, you can add more flavor and creaminess to this fantastic dip by adding fruit preserves, citrus zest, flavored yogurt, whipped cream, or Cool Whip!

I haven't tried it, but I think the consistency of cream cheese spread will be too runny for frosting. Perhaps if you use a brick of cream cheese it may be firm enough? I have also seen marshmallow fluff frosting recipes with cream cheese and marshmallow creme that also include a stick of softened butter and 2-3 cups powdered sugar. Something like that might be another option? Let me know what you try and how it works!
