    You’re Going to Love These

Super weird. So if you want to get peoples’ attention at the next party, just go ahead and bring these chocolate Cheetos balls. I promise you everyone will want to at least try one ... until they taste how crazy good they are, then they won't be able to stop eating them. And any die-hard Flamin’ Hot Cheetos fans will be your friends forever.

Not too sweet. We all know those people who don’t love sweets. And they’re going to look at these like they’re just another chocolate ball. As soon as you explain the filling is made from crushed Cheetos, they’re going to thank you for thinking of them.

Fun Cheetos recipe. We should be having fun in the kitchen — and that’s exactly where this recipe came from. So if you’re up for cooking with Cheetos and ready to try something different, here you go!

Chocolate balls. If you’re wondering how a dessert made from Flamin’ Hot Cheetos could ever be good, all I can say is … it works. BUT do not use dark chocolate. I thought dark chocolate would be the no-brainer chocolate to use in this Cheetos recipe, but no. No, no, no.

We did extensive taste testing to determine which types of chocolate work best in this recipe. For the filling, both peanut butter chips and white chocolate chips were both good — with peanut butter getting a slight edge. For the outer chocolate coating, white chocolate tasted fine, but here’s the deal. You know what happens to your fingers when you eat Cheetos? Well, that happened to the white chocolate when I tried dipping the Cheetos balls in it. Let’s just say it was a Flamin’ Hot mess.

So if you’re ready to make Flamin Hot Cheetos Balls dipped in chocolate, here’s how to make them.

How to Make Flamin' Hot Cheetos Balls

In a food processor, pulse Flamin’ Hot Cheetos into fine crumbs. Place the crushed up Cheetos in a large bowl with the powdered sugar.

Melt the peanut butter chips in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Continue to microwave at 10-second intervals until they are melted and smooth.

Add the melted peanut butter chips to the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and powdered sugar mixture. Stir until it comes together in a soft dough. Refrigerate the mixture for 5-10 minutes or until it is firm enough to shape into balls.

Prepare a plate with waxed paper. Portion the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos mixture with a ½ tablespoon measuring spoon and roll it into balls. Place in the refrigerator to cool and harden, about an hour.

Make the chocolate coating for the Cheetos balls. Melt the milk chocolate and coconut oil for 30 seconds. Stir. Continue to microwave at 10-second intervals until it is melted and smooth.

Drop the balls into the chocolate one at a time, set them on wire rack, and sprinkle with the reserved crushed up Cheetos. Let them rest until the chocolate has hardened, about an hour.

I made this for a luncheon and it was GREAT hit. It does have a little heat afterwards but that’s why it’s called Flamin Hot!!
