Vibrant radishes are more than just a pretty, crunchy vegetable with a peppery bite. They're actually really versatile, and there's no shortage of ways to use them. We love them in everything from Roasted Potato Salad to Teriyaki Rice Bowls.
If you're wondering what to do with that big bunch of radishes from the farmers market, here are a few of our favorite radish recipes and other simple ways to use them up.
11 Yummy Things To Do With Radishes
Roasted radishes
If you're not a raw radish fan, you HAVE to try roasted radishes. Cooking radishes makes them soft, tender, and mild flavored. For an easy roasted radishes recipe, cut them into 1" pieces, toss them on a baking sheet with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Roast in a single layer at 450 for 20 minutes until fork tender.
Radish Potato Salad
There are a couple of different ways you can work radishes into your potato salad. To add peppery flavor, thinly slice raw radishes and mix them into the salad. Or roast them and toss them with fresh herbs and creamy potato salad dressing.
Okay, this one's a little obvious, but don't overlook the delicious simplicity of raw, crunchy, fresh radishes with a creamy dip. This Whipped Feta Cheese Yogurt dip with garlic, fresh lemon juice, and herbs perfectly complements peppery radishes.
Wait. What? You read this right. You can use fresh radish greens in place of or in addition to fresh basil in your favorite homemade pesto recipe.
Tacos and Nachos
The fresh flavor and texture of sliced raw radishes are the perfect contrast to rich and spicy tacos, nachos, and other Mexican dishes. For a little more flavor, try tossing the sliced radishes in a little lime juice and a pinch of salt. We like making little street tacos with this simple Crock Pot Salsa Chicken.
Radish purists know the best way to enjoy radishes is with a simple swipe of European butter and a sprinkle of sea salt.
Radish Toast
Pile thin slices of radishes on a piece of good bread with ricotta and fresh herbs or creamy avocado.
Salsa
Your tortilla chips will thank you for adding radishes to your favorite salsa recipe. Radishes add crunch, pretty ruby red color, and their signature peppery bite to fresh salsa and pico de Gallo.
Crispy radishes sliced thinly add crunch and bold flavor to a creamy cucumber salad or any fresh salad -- you can even throw some radish tops in with the salad greens. I especially love to make big, hearty salads with radishes with other spring veggies like asparagus and snap peas.
