This Sweet Chili Salmon recipe is brushed with a sweet and savory glaze, then broiled in under 10 minutes to tender, flaky perfection. Fast, delicious, easy dinner. Great meal idea for busy weeknights and weekend entertaining.
Place the top oven rack 5-6 inches under the broiler. Turn on the oven to broil.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick spray. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.
Whisk chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl. Place half of it in a separate bowl and set aside. Brush the other half on top of the salmon filets. Broil salmon 5-7 minutes or until flaky and the top is bubbly and slightly charred. Internal temperature should read 135. Rest for 5 minutes to allow carryover heat to cook it to 145. Brush with reserved sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve with lime wedges.
Notes
Do not line the pan with parchment paper, it can burn under the broiler.
Taste the sauce and adjust to your preferences.
Cooking times will vary depending on the thickness of the salmon.
If using skin-on salmon, place it skin side down on the pan.
Cook salmon to internal temperature of 135, then set aside for carryover heat to cook it to 145.
