Pepperoni Flatbread is made from soft naan bread topped with pizza sauce, two kinds of gooey mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and simple seasonings, then baked to perfection. Perfect for pizza night, easy weeknight dinners, or a quick snack.
2.5ouncesfresh mozzarella10 thin slices, blotted dry with paper towels
¼teaspoonItalian seasoning
1pinchred pepper flakesoptional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450. Place the naan flatbreads directly on the oven rack and warm for 2 minutes per side.
Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each flatbread. Top each pizza with ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 8 pepperoni slices, 5 slices of fresh mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes.
Place the flatbread pizzas directly on the oven rack. Bake for 6-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown. Place a baking sheet or piece of aluminum foil on a rack below the pizza to catch any drips.
Notes
Pre-baking the naan and baking the pepperoni flatbread directly on the oven rack makes the crust perfectly crispy.
Add your own favorite toppings, but go easy -- too many toppings can make the crust soggy.
To keep fresh mozzarella from making your pizza soggy, use thin slices (or tear it into thin pieces) and place them on paper towels to blot out any excess moisture.
