Soft Gingerbread Cookies (No Molasses)

Soft baked Gingerbread Cookies without Molasses are soft, fluffy cookies filled with warm and spicy flavors.  Delicious rolled in sugar, irresistible frosted with easy browned butter frosting.

– Butter – Brown sugar – Honey – Egg – Vanilla extract – Flour – Baking soda – Ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, salt, cayenne pepper – Sugar, for rolling

Cookie Ingredients

– Butter – Powdered sugar – Vanilla extract – Milk

Browned Butter Frosting

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in honey, egg, and vanilla.   Sift or whisk dry ingredients together. 

Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Chill dough for at least 2 hours.  

Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar. Bake until light golden brown. 

Mix browned butter, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk until smooth.  

Frost cookies with browned butter frosting.
