Chocolate Caramel Shortbread Bars

These chocolate caramel shortbread bars just might remind you of a homemade Twix bar! They’re super decadent and an easy dessert for holidays or anytime you have a chocolate craving.

– Shortbread cookies – Butter – Sugar – Caramel bits – Milk – Milk chocolate chips – Shortening – Sea salt

Ingredients

Combine shortbread crumbs, sugar, and butter in a square pan. Pat it firmly into the pan.

Bake for 20 minutes, then cool.

Melt caramel bits and milk and spread over the shortbread base. Cool in fridge until firm.

Melt chocolate chips and shortening, spread over the caramel layer. Sprinkle with sea salt.

Cool the bars completely. Cut into squares or rectangles. Serve and enjoy!
