Apple Crisp without Oats

Apple Crisp without Oatmeal is a classic fall dessert.  The cinnamon brown sugar apple filling and crumbly topping have all the nostalgic flavors you remember in this old fashioned apple crisp.

– Apples  – Flour – Brown sugar – Cinnamon – Nutmeg – Ground ginger – Salt – Chopped pecans – Butter


Toss apple slices with flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.  Place in baking dish. 

Grate the butter. Combine flour, brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon and salt. Pinch butter and flour mixture together. 

Sprinkle pecan streusel topping over the apple mixture. 

Bake 60-80 minutes, until the top is golden brown and apples are soft.
